A Movement Medicine dance introduction workshop with David Mooney
Resource is a one day Movement Medicine introduction to support your capacity to be connected within and centred in an ever changing world. This day of Resource is an introduction to the tools of Movement Medicine. These simple practices can support you to meet and engage with life and give what you have to give without losing yourself.
Movement Medicine is an ecstatic dance and conscious movement practice that will reconnect you to the wisdom of living from the heart and will deepen your connection to yourself, your creativity and integrity. This dance practice can strengthen our capacity to dance with life, however stormy the weather.
This is an opportunity to awaken the dancer within you and connect with the aliveness of free dance practice. We will explore the landscape of the elements and how they can resource us to find our ground, activate our life energy, return to our natural state of fluidity and open into the breath of life and spaciousness available when we dance. We will also practice the Tree of Life movement meditation which strengthens our capactiy to be rooted and at the same time, free to grow towards what we love. The MESA practice is a very powerful way to increase our capacity to be present within ourselves and also present in relationship with others.
Whether you are a long term dancer or newcomer you will come away with a tool-kit of practical and subtle exercises relevant for meeting the challenges of walking this life in these times. I very much look forward to sharig this subtle and strong dance practice with you.
David is a School of Movement Medicine Faculty member and a fully qualified psychotherapist, he integrates these skills and his passion for shamanic pathways into his work in Ireland and extensively throughout Europe.
