WAY OF THE DANCING WARRIOR - MENS RETREAT

  • Orval 1 Bois le Comte Florenville, Région Wallonne, 6823 Belgium (map)

The Dancing Warrior is an archetypal force that resides within us all. It is the energy that provides us with the strength to face the challenges of life and navigate our experiences with wisdom and flexibility.

This 5 day embodied journey is an invitation for brothers to get real, to become free from pushing, overdoing or holding back.

This is an invitation to be authentic, take a deep dive into our capacity to connect with, dare to show our vulnerability to and accept the unique resources available in the company of men. We will create a safe container  for our work together so that we can to be fully present for the challenge and complexity the dance of life throws up for us.

The Way of the Dancing Warrior (Men’s Edition) is a unique opportunity to:

  • Be part of a strong circle of brothers who have the courage to dance with all that is.

  • Find gratitude for life and for the gifts it offers, remembering the dance of giving and receiving as a practice for life.

  • Dance with our relationship to the characters of the Drama Triangle (Victim/Persecutor/Rescuer) And call in the archetypal dance of the Wise Elder, the Dancing Fool and the Dancing Warrior as resources to heal our stuck stories of separation and conflict.

  • Invoke the courage of your heart, offering love and patience for old destructive patterns and reclaiming your dignity and authority as a man.

  • Explore the archetypes of the child, teenager, warrior, lover, Father and Elder.

  • Spend time in nature – resourcing and reconnecting to this essential life force

  • Take time for personal reflection and gather in smaller support groups

We will be guided by a variety of Movement Medicine maps and Johanna Macys Work that Reconnects.  No prior experience of Dance is needed to attend this residential workshop. Just your willingness to turn up and be authentically you.
